Experimental use of FutureID for Fraunhofer Wiki Farm

December 2015:  Fraunhofer Gesellschaft has collaborated with FutureID to experimentally integrate a FutureID Broker to controll access to the Fraunhofer Wiki Farm.  The Wiki Farm uses instances of Media Wiki in support of projects and other collaboration of Fraunhofer with external participants.  Currently, more than 300 instances are operational.  The integration of FutureID technology overcomes the current shortcoming of limiting access control to solely passwords.  With FutureID, a wide variety of trusted and secure credentials can be used in addition.  A single user can register multiple credentials to use different devices in different situations (such as office or mobile).  The results have already impressed the involved stakeholders.  After a testing phase, the operational roll out to all wiki instances will be decided.
